Saturday evening my boyfriend suggested we go watch the sunset and that I bring my camera. Somehow he has a radar that can predict phenomenal sunsets. It's been a long time since I've witnessed one this beautiful and lasted well after the sun had already set.
Most of the time I walk down to Grandview Beach to watch a sunset, it's clear and the sun just sets without any spectacular pink skies. The days when I have seen hot pink clouds I'm usually either in my car or at home realizing I had just missed something really special and it's too late.
The sunset Saturday night was surreal. It kept going and going. We left before it was over. He couldn't stop staring and I couldn't stop taking photos. The series of photos below is of how the sunset progressed over about 20 minutes or so. Keep in mind that we got literally as the sun went down and the real show was afterwards.
