Hello friends, Kate here. Just like you, I’m concerned with how my information is collected and used online, so it only seems fair I provide you with the same information for Salt and Ritual. With this in mind, here are the privacy practices we employ when you visit and use this website. If you have any questions, just shoot me a message using the Contact page listed on the menu for the site.
1. Children Under 13.

We do not direct any of our content specifically at children under 13 years of age as defined in the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. If you are under 13 years old, please do not submit any information to us. We will delete any personal information for children under 13 we collect upon notification.
2. What Personal Information Do We Collect?

However, you can voluntarily decide to join challenges we hold every so often and leave comments on blog posts. If you do so, we will collect one or more of the following personal bits of information from you:
a. A first name you provide, and
b. An email address you provide.
We do not share your information with any third parties who will directly market to you. We do share said information with third parties that provide administrative services to the site such as our hosting company and the company who provides software for email communications.
3. Email Communications.
You have the option to provide us with an email address to receive responses to questions you may have contacted us with or to receive our newsletters and administrative email messages. We will use your email address to communicate with you in this regard. In providing the email address, you expressly consent to this use of your email address. Sorry, we have to include that last bit pursuant to various state laws.
4. Product Purchases.
From time to time, we may offer products you can buy such as eBooks and guides. When making a purchase, we will share your personal information with the company processing the transaction. We will identify the processing company during the checkout stage of the transaction.

Pursuant to the California Online Privacy Protection Act, we hereby disclose that we do not currently honor "do not track" signals issued by browsers or other third party sources.
8. Third Party Cumulative Tracking.
Whether you realize it or not, a new trend on the Internet is for companies to track you across multiple sites in an effort to build behavioral profiles for marketing purposes. We use certain software from companies of this as part of the site and want to make sure you understand as much. For example, we use Google for certain functions such as analyzing how visitors find Salt and Ritual and move about the website. Google will track you across multiple websites, but also gives you the ability to opt-out from being tracked.
